DAYTIME TV star Lorraine Kelly and her daughter Rosie are to join thousands of other women to defy cancer by taking part in Cancer Research UK's Race for Life event in Dundee this month.
Kelly, who lives in the city, is urging mothers, daughters, sisters, grandmothers and friends to join her and sign up for an event.
There are five Race for Life events in Scotland before the end of June and still time to sign up for them.
Last year, more than 35,000 women took part in 5K and 10K events in Scotland, raising £2.36 million.
Kelly, 53, will take part in the 5K event at Camperdown Park on June 23 with her daughter Rosie, 19. She said: "I am so excited about taking part in Race for Life in Dundee this year. Cancer can bring the fight but we are not going to let it win.
